제목 Preparation of bamboo-based activated carbon electrodes for electrochemical supercapacitors
초록 Many forms of carbonaceous materials, including powder, fiber, paper, carbon nanotubes, and the related nanocomposites, are candidates for use as electrodes in capacitors. We studied the preparation and electrochemical properties of bamboo-based activated carbons (ACs) through carbonization and subsequent activation with steam and non-water-soluble electrolyte solutions. The samples, after calcination of ACs, were characterized by X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and nitrogen adsorption measurements. Depending on the experimental conditions, the specific capacitances ranged from 5 to 60 F/g, and the specific surface areas of the samples ranged from 450 to 1025 m2/g. The porous carbon activated at 700–900 °C/h presented the highest capacitance and the largest specific surface area.
