제목 | Destruction of Aniline by Mediated Electrochemical Oxidation Process using Ce(IV) in Nitric Acid – Lab. Scale Study |
초록 | Mediated electrochemical oxidation (MEO) has been employed for destruction of organic wastes. We report Ce(IV) – mediated electrochemical oxidation of aniline as an example of organic waste. Aniline was oxidized by Ce(IV) in liquid reactor and carbon dioxide was produced as a final oxidation product. With this purpose, we have developed a mini-scale MEO system. In batch-scale experiments, the kinetics of destruction of aniline by MEO process with Ce(IV) was measured. It is established that at temperature of 90℃ destruction of aniline was found to be more than 90%. The results obtained from the redox potential and moles of Ce(IV), testify in favor of the mechanism of destruction of aniline with multi-electron coefficient n=28 ([Ce(IV)]/[Aniline] = 28). |
