Preparation and characterization of Polylactide (PLA)-Poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) copolymers for Microencapsulation of algicidal substances |
초록 |
Europhication of reservoirs, lakes and rivers induces algal blooms by accumulating nutriments in the water system. A recent method to solve the problem is the use of microencapsulation of algicidal substances in copolymer. Microencapsulated algicidal substances of this research were prepared by employing PLA-PEG di-block copolymer. PLA- PEG diblock copolymer was prepared to encapsulate algicidal substances for reservoirs and the synthesis was performed by ring opening polymerization of D,L-lactide in the presence of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) as a initiator. The PLA- PEG diblock copolymer enabled to produce microencapsulated algicidal substance by using dialysis technology to control capsule sizes and releasing speed. Algicide-releasing test was performed by using UV-Visible and AFM.
