Spray-coating of Poly(3-[tris(trimethylsilyloxy)silyl]-propyl methacrylate-co-methyl methacrylate) for Fabrications of Superhydrophobic Surface. |
초록 |
A simple one-step spray-coating process is developed for the fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces on glass-slide substrates. Superhydrophobic surfaces showing a contact angle 168° for water droplet have been fabricated by spray-coating of poly(3-[tris(trimethylsilyloxy)silyl]-propyl methacrylate-co-methyl methacrylate)(poly(SiMA-co-MMA)) in acetone as a solvent. The resulted poly(SiMA-co-MMA) coated glass surfaces were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) which clearly revealed that the glass substrates covered by sub-micron sized copolymer particles. Water contact angle on the poly(SiMA-co-MMA) irregular rough surface prepared by spray-coating was determined to be 165.5° and the contact angle hysteresis is less than 5°. This is expected to be a simple method for preparing self-cleaning superhydrophobic surfaces on large area. |
