제목 Preparation and Characterization of Iron Oxide-Loaded Silica Nanoparticles (Fe2O3-Si NPs) as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Contrast Agent
초록 In this study, we report preparation and characterization of iron oxide-loaded silica nanoparticles (Fe2O3-Si NPs) as imaging contrast agent for molecular resonance imaging (MRI). The approach was taken from advantages of the silica nanoparticles that have been prepared by the controlled hydrolysis and condensation of two kinds of silanes [triethoxyvinylsilane (TEVS) as the starting precursor and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES)] in nano-sized micelles of oil in water (O/W) microemulsion. And silica that has biocompatibility and no toxicity, was appropriated as the coating material for iron oxide. We examined the particle size and distribution using dynamic lightning scattering spectrophotometer (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), the crystallite size through x-ray diffraction (XRD), and the magnetic property by magnetic property measurement system (MPMS).
