제목 Adsorption Behavior of Heavy Metal-ions by Composite Hydrogel Based on PHEA and Alginate  
초록 IPN type hydrogel based on modified poly(2-hydroxyethyl aspartamide) (PHEA) and alginate (Alg), prepared by using ‘click’ reaction, has been utilized as a sorbent for the removal of metal-ions from aqueous media. The prepared gel was characterized by their swelling behavior, changing by composition, ionic species, and pH of aqueous solution. PHEA/Alg composite gel could effectively adsorb the toxic metal-ions such as Cu(II), Ni(II)… The trace amount of remaining metal ions was analyzed by atomic adsorption spectroscopy. Kinetics and isotherm of adsorption behavior was investigated and built up according to the Langmuir and Freundlich models, respectively. Also the adsorption characteristics were elucidated by FTIR analysis, the effect of solution pH, sorption rate, temperature, and initial ion concentrations.
