제목 Electrorheological Fluids Based on Silica-Polythiophene Core-Shell Nanospheres
초록 The monodispersed silica/polythiophene (PT) core/shell nanospheres with three different diameters (11, 16 and 26 nm) are prepared by seeded polymerization method, and these nanospheres are applied for a dispersing agent of Electrorheological (ER) fluid. The ER properties of silica/PT core/shell nanospheres are investigated as functions of shear rate, electric field strength, and a volume fraction of ER materials. Compared with conventional ER materials, the silica/PT core/shell nanospheres based ER fluids exhibit enhanced ER properties under applied electric field strength. In addition, the silica/PT core/shell nanospheres based ER fluids possess the excellent anti-sedimentation stability.
