Surface Modification of Polytetrafluoroethylene with Low Energy Ion Beam Irradiation |
| 초록 |
Surface modification of polytetrafluoroethylene was performed after predetermining irradiation conditions with Stopping and Range of Ions in Matter Software by irradiating low energy proton ion beams on its surfaces. The beams were obtained by accelerating the ions after ionizing the hydrogen atoms with electric potential differential. The extent of its surface modification was evaluated by observing the morphologies with SEM, measuring surface tension with contact angles and measuring its physical and chemical composition changes, respectively. The beam treated samples demonstrated its surface modification in terms of changes in surface morphologies and chemical compositions. |
