Tissue-specific peptides immobilized porous chitosan beads for tissue regeneration |
초록 |
The development of biomaterials that are capable of directing cell behavior is a rapidly growing research area. Applications for such materials are widespread and include implants for tissue regeneration as well as for cell culture. In recent years, the modification of synthetic and natural polymers with peptides containing cell recognition motif for effective cell adhesion and specific cell responses has been widely studied in terms of the functionalized surface with the bioactivity. Porous chitosan beads (χtopore) that supplied from Regenbiotech is a 3-D natural polymeric scaffold with a pore size around 50㎛-80㎛ for tissue regeneration. This scaffold is non-toxic and applicable to most adherent cell with a high density. Tissue-specific peptides by the recombinant technology have a essential motif for the interaction with cells such as endothelial cells, osteoblast cells. In the present study, Tissue-specific peptides were immobilized onto the surface of porous chitosan beads by using EDC chemistry and their surface properties were characterized. |
