Organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) have attracted a great attention for flat panel display (FPD) application at the moment due to their simple structure compared to liquid crystal displays(LCD) as well as their fast response time and wide viewing angle which are similar to typical cathode ray tube(CRT). However, the short device life time has been a critical problem for OLEDs. TPD and NPD,widely used as a hole transport layer, are not thermally stable enough to apply for OLEDs. On the other hand polyimides are very interesting materials due to their high thermal stability, mechanical toughness, pliability and filmability. And carbazoles are also widely studied as a hole tansport material. In this study, we introduced new carbazole-containing hole transport materials modified with diverse imide moieties in organic light-emitting devices and characterized their thermal, optical and electrical properties, using FT-IR spectra, DSC, TGA, UV/visible spectra and PL spectra. |
