Effects of thermal and shear histories on the thermal stability of aliphatic polyketone terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and carbon monoxide |
초록 |
The effects of temperature and shear on the thermal stability of polyketone terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and carbon monoxide (EPCO) were investigated. Heating experiments for 5 minutes revealed that increasing heating temperature from 210 to 250 oC gradually increased the intrinsic viscosity ([η]) of EPCO. Below 230 oC, decomposition reaction appeared dominant but coupling reaction got prevalent above 240 oC. The [η] of EPCO after heating under shear was increased with heating temperature but showed almost same [η] regardless of the shear rate, suggesting that shearing condition had little effect on the chemical reactions of EPCO. |
