제목 Effects of thermal and shear histories on the thermal stability of aliphatic polyketone terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and carbon monoxide
초록 The effects of temperature and shear on the thermal stability of polyketone terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and carbon monoxide (EPCO) were investigated. Heating experiments for 5 minutes revealed that increasing heating temperature from 210 to 250 oC gradually increased the intrinsic viscosity ([η]) of EPCO. Below 230 oC, decomposition reaction appeared dominant but coupling reaction got prevalent above 240 oC. The [η] of EPCO after heating under shear was increased with heating temperature but showed almost same [η] regardless of the shear rate, suggesting that shearing condition had little effect on the chemical reactions of EPCO.
