Fluorinated compounds with clickable alkyne groups as reactive energetic additives are synthesized to investigate the ability on improving processibility of polyurethane binders. Since the Fluorinated compounds can react with Aluminium(Al) or other metal called as the thermite reaction and give off energy, the use of these compounds is expected to increase the energetic performance of energetic binders. Firstly, these compounds are mixed with glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) and poly(glycidyl azide-co-tetramethylene glycol) (PGT) polymers. Then, the “click” reaction between alkyne group and azido in prepolymer side chain can be performed and the effects of incorporated fluorinated compounds with GAP and PGT based polyurethane binders. The application of thermite reaction between fluorinated reactive plasticizers and aluminum in PU binders is investigated and measured the energy by DSC. |
