제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of Second-order Nonlinear Optical Chromophore composed of Heterocyclic Building Block (III). |
초록 | A number of research have been made last one decade for the development of second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) materials because of their potential applications such as electro-optic beam steering device, photorefractive, optical memory devices, and optical frequency conversion system. Recently, we designed and synthesized novel NLO chromophores containing heterocyclic bridge group with respect of the push-pull model. The energy-diagrams for NLO chromophores were determined with the electrochemical analysis and the spectroscopic technique analysis. Furthermore, we studied microscopic origin of the nonlinear optical activity in terms of the first order molecular hyperpolarizability (β) and the dipole moment. The parameters for microscopic nonlinearity were calculated by using the semiempirical calculation and the experimental values were obtained by way of Hyper-Rayleigh scattering (HRS) method in solution state. |
