제목 0가 금속 철을 이용한 Perchloroethylene과 Carbon Tetrachloride의 환원적 탈염소화
초록 In order to develop a treatment method for chlorinated aliphatics, reduction of
perchloroethylene and carbon tetrachloride by iron metal in the aqueous solution wasstudied in batch and column systems under anaerobic and middle aerobic conditions.Iron sequentially dehalogenated carbon tetrachloride via chloroform to methylene chloride. The intial rate of each reaction step was pseudo-first-order with respect to substrateconcentration and substantially decreased as each dehalogenation step proceeded.Perchloroethylene was also dechlorinated by iron at a slower rate than carbontetrachloride. All experimental evidences were found to support a direct reductionmechanism in which electron transfer from zero-valent iron to the adsorbedchloromethane and chloroethene occurs at the metal/water interface. Other factors thatinfluence dechlorination rates were also discussed, including proton-and-anion promoteddissolution process that remove surface iron oxides yielding new zero-valent ironsurfaces.
