Powder cosmetic products are widely consumed due to its effective functions such as concealment of defects, brightening effect and adsorption of sebum. Despite of these good properties some users feel discomfort which is dryness after wearing it. In this study, in order to remove this problem, comparatively large amount of oil was introduced to powder as a form of droplets which is encapsulated by powder particles. It was found that the viscosity of oil and the surface property of powder particles affect a formation of oil droplet. As a result, powder foundation which has no dryness and good resistance against water and sebum was developed. We expect that this new type of powder foundation will be able to satisfy consumers’ long continued demand. |
