Synthesis and Characterization of Cross-linked Multi-sensitive Injectable Hydrogel based Pluronic F-127. |

A novel multi responsive injectable hydrogel by pH, temperature and reducing agent (DTT) has been developed based on disulfide end-capped Pluronic F-127 polymer (PL-SS-NH2) and benzaldehyde-capped Pluronic F-127 polymer (PL-BA). PL-BA was crosslinked with PL-SS-NH2 and the resultant polymer formed hydrogel containing disulfide bond and benzoic imines bond which were confirmed by H-NMR. Different ratios of the polymer (PL-BA: PL-SS) were crosslinked with each other and among these the polymer ratio 1:1 showed the most efficient formation of multi sensitive hydrogel at lower concentration. Rheological characteristics showed the multi responsiveness against the earlier mentioned stimulus of the developed polymeric hydrogel. |
