Polymeric semiconductors from 4,8-dialkylbenzo[1,2-b;4,5-b’]dithiophene derivatives have been interested greatly in organic field-effect transistors due to their advantages including good process-ability, stability as well as compatible with plastic substrates to flexible electronic devices. Besides, thiophene derivatives-containing fused-aromatic compounds represent an interesting class of electronic materials for organic conductors and field effect transistors. In this study, a new material polymer containing 4,8-didecylbenzo[1,2-b:4,5-b’]dithiophene groups and dithiophene groups have been synthesized, and determined from FT-IR, 1H-NMR. The physical and optical properties of the polymers were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and optical absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. |
