제목 A Study on the Preparation, Characteristics, and Application to Photovoltaic Materials of TiO2 /Polypyrrole Hybrids
초록 TiO2 is a representative high-bandgap metal-oxide smiconductor. That is applied for catalyst in photolysis and n-type active electrode in dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical solar cells. For the photovoltaic application of unconventional semiconductor including polymers, interfacial contacting state and area between heterojunction make a most important role in charge separation and power conversion efficiency.
Diverse forms of hybrids and composites combining TiO2 and polypyrrole were prepared on the basis of sol-gel method and studied on the adjustment of microstructure for the application in organic photovoltaic cells. The size and distribution of nanopore, bicontinuous network, and interfacial state were controlled with variation of synthetic methods as follows; 1) Polymerization of polypyrrole in the presence of porous TiO2, 2) Synthesis of TiO2 in the presence of polypyrrole, 3) Simultaneous synthesis of TiO2 and polypyrrole.
The photovoltaic cell, that was fabricated by sandwiching the obtained hybrids or composites between ITO and metals having low work-functions, was basically tested and modified for raising photoelectric conversion efficiency.
