제목 Novel process of thermoplastic elastomer(TPE) nano-composites using a ring extruder
초록 Clay is widely used as non-black filler in the (Thermo Palstic Elastomer)TPE industry. This traditional filler attracted considerable interest when clays were dispersed in a polymer matrix at the nano-scale level and the reinforcement ability was significantly improved. In this study, we have fabricated clay filled nano-composite using a twelve screw ring extruder. It has 12 driven screws mounted in a ring around a solid, stationary core. Due to intensive shear force and long residence time of ring extruder, the clay nanocomosite has a homogeneous dispersion. We are investigating the effect of ring extruder on clay-nanocomposite and comparing with twin extruder.
