제목 Synthesis and Structure-Property Relationships of Poly(norbornene dicarboxylic acid dialkyl esters) and Poly(norbornene dimethyl carboxylates)
초록 Vinyl-polynorbornene has good thermal stability, high optical transparency, low water absorption, and low dielectric constant. In this study, vinyl-poly(norbornene)s with polar side chains were synthesized systematically, including poly(norbornene dicarboxylic acid dialkyl esters) (alkyl = Me, Et, Pr, Bu, Pen, Hex, and 2-Et-Hex) and poly(norbornene dimethyl carboxylates) (carboxylate = acetate, propanoate, butanoate, pentanoate, and hexanoate). These polymers show a good solubility in common organic solvents and good film-forming characteristics. Their structures were investigated by wide-angle x-ray scattering experiments, and the mechanical and dielectric properties were characterized in details, in comparison with those of the polynorbornene homopolymer.
