1, 3-Cyclohexadiene undergoes the hydrosilylation reaction with hydrochlorosilanes to give (chlorosilyl)cycloalkenes and bis(chlorosilyl)cycloalkanes. Generally 1,3-cyclohexadiene reacted with a variety of hydrochlorosilanes RHSiCl2 (R= Cl, H, Me, i-Pr, c-pentyl) at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 120℃ in the presence of group 10 metal (Ni, Pd, Pt) complex to afford 3-(chlorosilyl)cyclohexenes in good yields. Interestingly, the thermal hydrosilylation of 3-(chlorosilyl)cyclohexenes with the hydrochlorosilanes occurred effectively at the high temperature to give the five bis(chlorosilyl)cycloalkanes as major products. However, the same reactions using Speier’s catalyst give three bis(chlorosilyl)cycloalkanes as major products. In this presentation we will discuss the results in details. |
