Nanomaterials with 0 or 1-dimensional structures have increasingly attracted research attention due to their unusual mechanical, electrical, and catalytic properties, implying their potential applications such as nano electronic devices, sensors, electrode catalysts, and electrode materials for energy storage. In this work, we present several nano structured materials used in electrochemical devices for energy conversion (e.g., fuel cell electrodes) and for energy storage (e.g., battery and supercapacitors). These materials can be synthesized by electrochemical or electroless deposition methods via inorganic and organic templates with aligned porous structures or conventional impregnation of metal nanoparticles. |
