제목 | Production of Hydrogen and Carbon via Natural Gas (Methane) Decomposition |
초록 | It is widely known that a technology of hydrogen energy can simultaneous solve both problems of energy and environment, which is widely studied in an advanced country such as USA, Europe and Japan. The main goal of this project is the development of an economically viable process for a production of hydrogen and pure carbon via thermal decomposition of natural gas. The advantages of TD process can be summarized as follows: (1) It is technologically simple ; (2) Clean carbon is produced as a valuable byproduct; and (3) CO2 emissions from the process are significantly reduced. In this work, equilibrium data of methane decomposition was measured, effects of temperature and flow rate on CH4 conversion, effects of temperature and flow rate on H2 concentration, effects of temperature and residence time on H2 concentration and effects of inlet CH4 flow rate on H2 production at reaction temperature 1300℃ were investigated. TEM images showed that carbon black, pyrocarbon and carbonaceous material had all unique shape. GC measured gas products in this work. |
