제목 Evaluation of Osteoblast-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on SIS/PLGA Hybrid Scaffold for Bone Formation
초록 The bone marrow stromal cells have many characteristics of stem cells for tissues that can roughly be defined as mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). MSC can be differentiated in culture into osteoblasts, chondrocytes, adipocytes, etc. Small intestine submucosa (SIS) was isolated from porcine intestine. SIS is primarily an acelluar extracelluar matrix material and can induce tissue remodeling because of the various growth factors. These growth factors can induce bone formation. The SIS/PLGA scaffolds were prepared by solvent casting-salt leaching methods. Characterization of SIS/PLGA scaffold was assessed at pore structure, porosity, median pore size, water absorption ability, and cell adhesiveness. We studied the role of MSCs-seeded SIS/PLGA scaffolds in vivo. In conclusion, it seems that SIS plays on important role for bone formation in SIS/PLGA scaffolds for tissue engineering.
