Metallic Nanostructures Deposited on Au Nanoparticles for Direct Alcohol Fuel Cells |

The atom-leveled design of metallic structures plays a significant role in a catalytic activity. In this study, we deposited metallic nanostructures on highly dispersed Au nanoparticles. The metallic nanostructures on Au nanoparticles showed the enhanced catalytic activity in electrode reactions of direct alcohol fuel cells. The increased catalytic activity might be attributed to the effective surface structures of metallic nanostructures on Au nanoparticles. More detailed characteristics of metallic nanostructures on Au nanoparticles will be discussed in our presentation. |
