제목 Tricyclic Norborneneimide Polymers Synthesized through Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization
초록 Ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP) of norbornene derivatives are expected to produce a polymer with good transparency and low permitivity, applicable to the materials of CDs and DVDs. Previously, we had reported the synthesis of tricyclic norborneneimide monomers. ROMP of the monomers with ruthenium carbene catalysts and the hydrogenation of the polymer were carried out to obtain a transparent and thermooxidatively stable polymer. Hydrogenated polymers showed improved transparency in UV/visible rays and thermooxidative stability compared to their corresponding polymers.
