제목 Injectable, porous, and drug released catecholic polymer cryogels
초록 Catecholic polymers are spontaneously oxidized to form hydrogels. However, to increase the pore size, these hydrogels require crosslinking to occur loosely, and as a result, become fragile. On the other hand, the glycol chitosan catechol (gCHI-C) cryogels is formed by the oxidation of concentrated catechol groups in the unfrozen phases during the freezing-thawing steps. Thus the cryogels had higher modulus than hydrogels, and the strength increased as the cycles was repeated. gCHI-C cryogels had an ethylene glycol group, which helped solubility of hydrophobic drugs with low solubility. And it showed elastic and injectable, so didn’t collapse after injection. And it is more biocompatible than hydrogel due to water permeability. Thus it is believed it can be used as a new drug delivery system.
