The LaCr1-xRuxO3 perovskites with different amount of the Ru substitution have been investigated as fibrous catalysts for H2 production by heavy hydrocarbon reforming. The physical and reducibility change for the perovskites were evaluated by BET, XRD, H2-TPR and XPS analysis, as along with SEM and TEM for its morphology change. The incorporation of Ru into the perovskite lattice reveals a distortion of the original orthorhombic structure with an increase in the surface area of the catalyst. From the characterizaations, the optimum amount of Ru in the perovskite structure was proved while the eccess amount placed on the perovskite surface as a metal particles. The lattice and surface Ru indicate different reduction degree of metal species which is closly related to the reforming activity. The catalyst with a Ru amount of 0.2 which is the optimum amount in the perovskite lattice shows the highest catalyitic performance and stability with low coke formation by the stable perovskite phase. |
