CO2 is one of major greenhouse gases over the past few centuries because of using fossil fuel. Utilization of carbon dioxide is one of the effective ways to solve this problem. Among various approaches, photoreduction is potentially a promising technology. TiO2 has been studied in various areas. However, there is one of the main disadvantage that band gap is wide. Therefore, recombination of electron-hole pairs is immediately occurred. In order to improve, a peroveskite structured material was also reported as photocatalyst. Although the perovskites are attractive for photocatalysts, the study for photoreduction of CO2 is at an early stage. The objective of this study is to synthesis ASnO3 (A = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) perovskite-structured and test for photoreduction of CO2. The prepared materials were characterized using XRD, BET, UV-vis spectroscopy, PL techniques. The photocatalytic performance of ASnO3 was tested for the reduction of CO2 with H2O. |
