Anisotropic Wettability on Biomimetic Superhydrophobic Surfaces |
초록 |
Roughness-induced hydrophobicity is a well known effect observed in many plant leaves, e.g. lotus leaves, and taro leaves. A water droplet can roll freely in all directions on the surface of a lotus leaf. However we have investigated an anisotropic wetting property on the surface of a rice leaf. We will report a theoretical and an experimental study of the wetting of surfaces with anisotropic roughness. The objective of our work is to fabricate biomimetic anisotropic wetting surface. The surface roughness and porosity can be controlled by the deposition of polyelectrolytes and colloidal particles by the LBL assembly for obtaining superhydrophobicity. |
