제목 Enhanced Reflectance and Photonic Color Saturation of Silica and Polydopamine Nanoparticles Mixtures as Quasi-Amorphous Photonic Solutions
초록 In nature, structural plumage color show high purity color produced by basal melanin layer that absorb incoherently scattered white light from the feather. We can make artificial structural color of quasi-amorphous photonic solution (QAPS) using colloidal solution. But low color saturation and reflectance of QAPS have been the main drawbacks. So, we subjected enhancement of reflectance and broad color gamut using SiO2 and polydopamine (PDA) nanoparticles binary system. QAPS structural color saturated by incorporating a small quantity of PDA nanoparticles due to broadband absorption spectrum of PDA in visible region. Consequently, SiO2/PDA binary QAPS system decreased incoherent scattering and has saturated structural color and broad color gamut. Also, unlike structural color reflectance drop due to light absorption of black material in other research, our system enhances reflectance by matching SiO2 and PDA nanoparticles diameter.
