In this study, we reported a facile and effective coating method driven by electrospraying method on the nitinol substrate. Through bioinspired mussel adhesive mechanism, after pre-treatment of the polydopamine (PDA) on the nitinol surface, it would form a strong adhesive surface with positive charges, indicating that the polyester(biodegradable poly(glycerol-co-sebacate), PGS) containing electrophilic carbonyl group could be adsorbed onto the surface by hydrogen bonding. The surfacial characterizatics including wettability, surface elemental analysis, and morphology, were assessed by the contact angle, XPS, and AFM, respectively. After coating on the stent, we checked the durability, surface morphology and drug release characteristics. The elastic polyester coated stents could be considered as a candidate for a potential long tern durable drug-eluting stent. |
