제목 Polymerization of Propene with Stereospecific Metallocene Catalysts Combined with 7-Octenyldiisobutylaluminum as a Cocatalyst and a Protected Comonomer
초록 Propene polymerization conducted by iso- and syndiospecific metallocene catalysts combined with [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] using bifunctional 7-octenyldiisobutyloctenylaluminum (OTIBA) as an alkylation reagent as well as a protected comonomer. The activity with OTIBA was about half
of that with triisobutylaluminum and decreased with increasing the concentration of OTIBA. 13C NMR measurements indicated that the produced polymers quenched with methanol had a structure of poly(propene-ran-1-octene) and those quenched with O2 contained from 0.8 up to 9.6 mol % of 6-hydroxyhexyl group depending on the concentration of OTIBA. The melting point and the heat of fusion of the obtained polymers decreased with increasing the concentration of OTIBA. These results showed that OTIBA acted as not only an alkylating reagent but also a protected comonomer, of which Al-group was efficiently converted to hydroxyl group by oxygen.
