제목 Effect of the alumina particle size on a polyethylene separator for a secondary battery
초록 The effects of the alummina particle size on a high density polyethylene(HDPE) separator were investigated. It was found that the pores and the mechanical properties of the alumina filled HDPE membrane depended on the particle size and the loading of alumina. Aluminas with particle sizes ranging from 50nm to 400nm were used. The HDPE and alumina were mixed in a Brabender. The alumina filled HDPE films were uni-axially stretched up to 600% with a speed rate of 10.8m/sec. The pore size and the porosity of the alumina filled HDPE membrane increased as the loading and the particle size of the alumina increased. Also, the mechanical properties of the alumina filled HDPE membrane were analyzed.
