제목 Effect of Preparation Conditions on Release Behavior of Raloxifene HCl-Loaded PLGA Microspheres
초록 Raloxifene HCl is a second generation selective estrogen receptor modulator that bind to the estrogen receptor and results in estrogen agonist effects on bone. We prepared the raloxifene HCl-laded PLGA microspheres using a oil-in-oil-in-water double emulsion solvent evaporation method for the effective controlled release. raloxifene HCl-loaded PLGA microspheres was characterized on the surface, the cross-section morphology by SEM. The degradation of raloxifene HCl-loaded PLGA microspheres with different PLGA concentrations were characterized by GPC and SEM. In vitro release behavior of raloxifene HCl were analyzed by HPLC over 4 weeks. The morphology and in vitro release profiles of raloxifene HCl-loaded PLGA microspheres were changed by several preparation conditions such as preparation temperatures, PLGA concentrations, solvent volumes, emulsifier concentrations. These results showed that the release behaviors can be effectively controlled by the preparation conditions.
