Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and perovskite-sensitized solar cells have attracted much interest as a promising renewable energy supply device based on the merits of low-cost, flexibility and easy fabrication. On the basis of systematic device engineering benefited from continuous efforts on material innovation and device physics, a state of the art DSSC based on porphyrin snesitizters with cobalt-based electrolyte and perovskite-sensitized solar cells with the compositional engineering of formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI3) with lead bromide (MAPbBr3) have exceeded the conversion efficiency of 13.1% and 20.1%, respectively. In this presentation, new strategy on materials paradigm for low-cost, long-term stable, highly efficient organic/inorganic hybrid solar cells will be described. |
