Preparation of photo-curable carrageenan derivative for tendon anti-adhesion |

Carrageenan is a natural polymer having biodegradable and biocompatibility. Furfuryl carboxymethylated Carrageenan(F-CM-Carrageenan) was prepared for tendon anti-adhesion. FT-IR analysis and 1H-NMR were conducted for the structure of the F-CM-Carrageenan. F-CM-Carrageenan is photo-crosslinked by Furfuryl group introduced into carrageenan and the photo-initiator. F-CM-Carrageenan can be expected to be application of tendon anti-adhesion. To evaluate the potential applications as a tendon anti-adhesion, should be photo reacted by Visible light and practice photo-curing test. F-CM-carrageenan should be confirmed that through hen’s tendon anti-adhesion test, F-CM-Carrageenan is used as tendon anti-adhesion agent. So F-CM-Carrageenan is considered that are able to develop as the tendon anti-adhesion biomaterial. |
