Synthesis and Characterization of A Polyurea Containing Oligoaniline Blocks |

t-Butoxycarbonyl (t-BOC) substituted aniline heptamer diamine as a monomer with good solubility and well-defined structure was synthesized by palladium-catalyzed aromatic amination. The oligoaniline was polymerized with 1,6-diisocyanatohexane to produce a polyurea which had good solubility in common solvents. Thin films were cast from its chloroform solution. The t-BOC groups were removed by thermal treatment at 242 oC for 1 h under a nitrogen atmosphere, as confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Different absorption peaks were observed in UV-Vis spectra in various states such as t-BOC deprotected and acid doped states. Electrochemical properties were investigated by using cyclic voltammetry. |
