In this work, graphene/poly(vinyl alcohol) nanocomposites have been prepared via solution intercalation process. Graphene nanosheete was resulting from oxidation of expandable graphite and alkyl ammonium surfactant treatment. SEM and optical micrographs were applied to confirm the formation of the nanocomposits. The influence of graphene contents on thermal and rheological properties of the nanocomposites were studied by TGA, DSC, and rheometer. As a result, the addition of graphene considerably increased the thermal stability of the poly(vinyl alcohol) nanocomposites. And the viscosity of the composites was increased with the addition of graphene. |
