Surface energetic heterogeneity analysis of SBA-15 silica synthesized using a micro flow reactor |

Ordered mesoporous silica SBA-15 has been used in a various applications due to their well- defined structures as well as good thermal and mechanical properties. In general SBA-15 has been prepared using hydrothermal reaction in a batch mode that requires a lot of time and energy. To overcome this kind of drawback, micro flow reactor mode has been introduced to synthesize the mesoporous silica SBA-15. In addition, we analyzed the surface heterogeneity of mesoporous SBA-15 prepared from both batch and continuous flow reactors. The textural properties prepared from both reactors were determined using nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms data. In particular, the surface energetic heterogeneity of SBA-15 materials prepared in this study was studied using the results of adsorption energy distributions (AEDs) obtained from nitrogen adsorption isotherm data. The AEDs were determined by solving adsorption integral equation and kernel function. |
