Hydrogelification of a Solid-State Material for Biomedical Applications |
초록 |
Recently, hydrogels have been utilized as a scaffold mimicking the extracellular matrix in regenerative medicine. Although a lot of hydrogels developed has similar characteristics to native extracellular matrix, there are still remaining requisites to satisfy for directing cellular behavior. Physical environments have been recognized as an important factor to cell behavior in many researches. Therefore, to use as a scaffold for regenerative medicine it needs for hydrogel to be modified in various physical properties. Herein, we developed the new approach to make a hydrogel from a solid state by varying the crosslinking density. This approach enable hydrogels to have easily specific shape since their shapes is determined in a solid state. In addition to that, their characteristics such as mechanical properties and swelling ratio can be controlled regardless of their shape. We expect it variously will be adopted to fabrication of a scaffold for regenerative medicine. |
