Smart Farm is a national innovative growth strategy that improves agricultural productivity and quality through convergence with advanced ICT technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution and implements sustainable future agriculture that reduces labor through remote or automatic maintenance of the growing environment of crops and livestock. Recently, the Korean government declared "2050 carbon neutral", and in the agricultural and livestock sector, the national vision and strategy are being established for the expansion of smart agriculture, the spread of low-carbon agricultural technology, and eco-friendly energy. In this study, we analyze the state of national R&D investment in smart farms, and suggest a strategy for industry-university-research collaboration for technology development advancement and commercialization in key technology fields. |
