In vivo bone formation from human embryonic stem cell-derived osteogenic cells and adipose-derived stromal cells in poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid)/hydroxyapatite composite scaffolds |
초록 |
We have previously developed a three-dimensional porous poly(D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid)/hydroxyapatite composite scaffold as a cell delivery vehicle. In the present study, we explored whether osteogenic cells derived from hESCs (OC-hESCs) and adipose-derived stromal cells (ADSCs) in the scaffold would be capable of regenerating bone tissue in vivo. Both OC-hESCs and ADSCs in the scaffold showed significant bone formation in the subcutaneous sites of immunodeficient mice at four and eight weeks after implantation, more significant in the present of bone morphogenic protein-2. |
