Perylene dianhydride (PDA) represents one of the most promising class of n-type organic semi-conductor due to their strong electron-donating character and charge transport properties. PDA also shows diverse electronic responses with propensity of assembly. So far, several reports appeared that peptides were condensed with PDA in molten imidazole, but the side-chain of peptides could participate in the reaction which produces undesired side product. To solve this problem, solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) method was applied for peptide conjugation to PDA. However, this method needs harsh condition and gives very low synthetic yield due to poor solubility of PDA. So, we present a new synthetic method for peptide derived perylene diimide bola-amphiphile in high yield, which can be applied to various peptide sequences. |
