A series of Poly (oxyethylene-b-butylene succinate) ionomers (POBSis) composed of succinic acid, 1, 4-butandiol and monomers of bis (poly (ethylene)) sulfonated dimethyl fumarate with ionic group were prepared by conventional two-step polymerization. It was sysnthesized with the aim of developing polymers which reveal high performance plastics. The structure of these copolymers was determined by 1H-NMR spectroscopy. 1H NMR analysis confirmed that proton from succinic acid appear at δ = 2.6 ppm, protons from the poly(ethylene oxide) which were attached to ether group at δ = 3.6 ppm, 1,4-butanediol at δ = 1.7 ppm and 4.1 ppm. And PEO which attached to the ester group protns from 1, 4-buthandiol appear at 4.2 ppm. The integral ratio is almost 1:1:1. Thermal properties were investigated using DSC. Degree of crystallinity was determined by wide-angle X-ray diffraction. physical and mechanical properties was measured by melt rheology and Instron. |
