제목 Pegylated Nanoscale Graphene Mediated Gold Nanoparticle Clusters as Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering Nanotags for Biosensing
초록 Surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-based biosensing has evolved to be an ultrasensitive detection technique in biological and forensic sciences. Clustered metallic nanoparticles have been shown promising as SERS nanotags to identify bio-analytes with high sensitivity due to increased plasmonic hotspot junctions. We report herein that controlled clustering of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were mediated by pegylated nanoscale graphenes (PNGs), resulting in formation of highly sensitive SERS nanotags with controlled size for biosensing. Especially, nanoscale graphene ensured strong π-π and other molecular interaction between PNGs and Raman dye encoded GNPs with hydrophobic moieties while PEG chains contributing to colloidal stability and minimized non-specific binding. This graphene-mediated SERS nanotags would open new avenues for SERS-based detection and imaging of biomolecules.
