Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) nanofibers as a highly efficient counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells |
초록 |
We report on Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) nanofibers coated on FTO glass as a counter electrode (CE) for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) applications. PEDOT nanofibers with uniform size (20~50 nm) were fabricated easily within micelle templates by chemical oxidative polymerization. The resulting PEDOT nanofibers exhibited an enhanced electrical conductivity relative to a similar PEDOT synthesized in the bulk, a feature which may be attributed to the 1D characteristic of the structures. PEDOT nanofibers layered FTO glass as the CE for DSSCs was fabricated by spin-coating a PEDOT-dispersed colloidal solution. The power conversion efficiency of the DSSCs reached a maximum of ~8.94%, which is the high efficiency to date using only PEDOT as the CE. |
