Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) : poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) films are widely used as a transparent anode in molecular electronic devices. Several research groups reported that the conductivity of PEDOT:PSS film can be significantly improved by the addition of organic solvents. Here, we propose another way to enhance the conductivity of PEDOT:PSS film by dipping into the organic solvents such as dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) or ethylene glycol (EG). The PEDOT:PSS film with the dip-treatment showed higher conductivity than the film blended with organic solvent. The experiment conditions such as the dipping time and the concentration and type of the solvents were varied to optimize both film conductivity and surface morphology. The conductivity and morphology of the PEDOT:PSS were characterized by the four-probe method, atomic force microscopy(AFM) and 3D Profiler. |
