The recovery of rare metals by Flow Through continues Deionization processes(FT-CDI) |

FT-CDI system is for recovery of rare metal ions by using bipolar membrane. The main objectives of the experiment were to develop a chemical-free type module and to optimize the performance of the module for desorption of rare metals. Therefore, this study was done by chemical free system. Only electrical power was used. FT-CDI cell was designed to include electrodes where beads flow through. The influences of several operating parameters on the overall process were investigated. CDI operating parameters were voltage, concentration of electrolyte and fluid velocity. Effects of each of them were measured. |
