Desorption tests for rare metal ions were performed using a flow through continues deionization system containing bi-polar membrane. The main objective of the study was to develop an chemical-free type module and to evaluate the performance of the module for desorption of rare metals. Hence, in this study was using chemical free system. Only uses electrical power. And beads passes through the flow through continues deionization module continuously. The influence of several operating parameters on the overall process performance was investigated. For instance, it came out that at low current density values such membranes are able to operate a perfect separation of opposite charges, resulting in a good process performance. Moreover, water transport by electro-osmosis has to be considered, hence lowering the stack performance. The flow through continues deionization system is optimization of desorption condition. |
